Unit 4 Performance Task

Part I

CPI and UNEMPLOYMENT Numbers

  **To get the CPI and Unemployment numbers follow these directions:  
Click the box next to the line that reads:  Unemployment Rate (4th one down).  This will give you the unemployment rate over the last 10 years.   
Next click the box that says CPI for all Urban Consumers 1982-84=100.  This will give you the CPI numbers for the same time period.   
Click retrieve data and you will have what you need.  You need the numbers for the LAST 3 QUARTERS (9 months) ONLY.
 

GDP DATA

**To Get Real GDP % Change, click "Percent Change From Preceding Period" near the top left of the page.  This will pull up a spreadsheet.  You want the numbers in the far right column of the spreadsheet.  Remember, you only need the LAST 3 QUARTERS.  This data is already in quarters so you just need the last three numbers in that column.
